An iconic cookie, reimagined with a Japanese touch

Crumbl Cookies come from the U.S. Known for their XXL size, gooey centers, and dessert-inspired flavors, they went viral on TikTok and Instagram. Their concept? Thick, soft cookies, served warm, often topped with a rich filling or glaze.

We’ve decided to recreate their white chocolate & matcha cookie… our way. Featuring a star ingredient: our Yedoensis Premium Matcha, grown in Japan, with an intense yet naturally sweet taste. It perfectly balances the white chocolate and enhances the dough.

Homemade Crumbl Matcha Cookie Recipe

Ingredients (for 6 large cookies)

For the cookies:

  • 120 g softened salted butter

  • 100 g white sugar

  • 50 g brown sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 200 g all-purpose flour

  • 1.5 tbsp Yedoensis premium matcha

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • A pinch of salt

  • 100 g white chocolate (chunks or chips)

For the topping ganache:

  • 100 g white chocolate

  • 2 tbsp heavy cream

  • 1/2 tsp matcha (or more for a brighter color)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan/convection).

  2. In a bowl, cream the butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mix well.

  4. Sift in the flour, baking powder, salt, and matcha. Mix until the dough is smooth.

  5. Fold in the white chocolate chunks.

  6. Form 6 thick dough balls and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Gently flatten each one.

  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes. The edges should be set, but the center should still be soft. Let cool on the tray.


Ganache & Finishing Touches

  • Melt the white chocolate and cream together using a double boiler or microwave.

  • Sift in the matcha and whisk until smooth.

  • Once the cookies are completely cool, spread the ganache on top.

  • (Optional) Dust with a little extra sifted matcha for a pretty finish.
