2. What is the difference between your Premium Matcha and Ceremonial Matcha? Our Ceremonial Matcha is made from the youngest, most tender leaves for the sweetest, most delicate flavor and the richest umami. Our Premium Matcha has a slightly bolder, more robust flavor that holds up beautifully in lattes and recipes, at a more accessible price for everyday use.
3. How much caffeine is in matcha? Matcha contains more caffeine than most other teas because you drink the whole leaf, but generally less than a cup of coffee. Matcha also naturally contains L-theanine, an amino acid that contributes to its smooth umami flavor.
4. How should I store this product? We recommend that you store your matcha away from light and sealed firmly in a cool environment. Placing it in the refrigerator is best to maximize freshness.
5. Can I make matcha without a whisk? Yes. You can shake matcha with water or milk in a sealed bottle, or use an electric milk frother. 6. The serving sizes are too small/large, what should I do? Japanese palates often 2 grams per serving so this is what we used as our guideline. However, a benefit of powdered tea is that this can be altered to the level of your choosing. If you prefer a stronger or lighter taste, feel free to adjust tea and water levels accordingly.
